Christie + Co. are UK and international business agents who buy and sell hotel, retail, and leisure and care businesses on behalf of individuals or companies. They also value businesses and carry out related consultancy work.
Challenge
Christie + Co wanted to move from print to electronic communications, and began a search for an e-marketing tool that would allow them to make that transition. Christie + Co were also concerned about compliance with legislation, faced with the huge challenge of effectively managing multiple e-mail lists across more than 25 offices, ten of which were in Europe.
Solution
In 2006 Digi-products developed a global bespoke system for Christie & Co which provided access to corporate marketing materials and templates to more than 300 sales staff who were keen to e-mail out electronic marketing materials to prospects.
Benefits
Christie + Co began bulk emailing prospects rather than sending out printed materials, issuing three million emails in the first year alone. This dramatic reduction in print allowed them to make seven figure cost savings, and redeploy part of their marketing budget into other areas. Importantly they also now have a high degree of confidence that they are compliant with the Data Protection Act, because all marketing materials are distributed and managed from a single, central system, and Digi-products automatically scans and removes ‘opt out’ addresses before issuing a bulk mailing. The Digi-products system also gives Christie + Co consistency of brand. Marketing Director David Dean explains: "Previously trying to manage the brand was a nightmare as all the offices were doing their own thing, but now users are empowered to issue their own marketing materials, but within the brand guidelines inherent in the Digi-products system.”
